Dealing with "Send me an Email"

The most common brush-off at the end of a cold call?

"Can you send me an email?"

You get through the pitch, ask a solid question, maybe handle an objection or two - and then boom:

"Can you just send me something over email."

Reps fumble it all the time:

"Sure, what’s your email?"

"Okay, I’ll follow up!"

"When's a good time to follow up?"

We don't have to tell you that you probably don't hear back from most of these folks.

Instead, try these:

----------

1. Tentative ask:

"I’ll definitely send something over - assuming you like what you see, just so we don’t waste time with any back and forth, would you be opposed to throwing something tentative on for early next week? Looks like Monday or Tuesday could work on my end - do mornings or afternoons usually work better for you?"

----------

2. Another option is to level with them:

"I'm happy to send you an email but a lot of times folks say that just to get off the phone. You wont hurt my feelings - is that the case here or is there something that actually peaked your interest in what I shared that's worth a longer discussion?"

----------

3. The third option is just to clarify what they are interested in:

"Sure I can send an email over - just so I make it relevant, what problems/areas should I focus on? Any initiatives you are focused on right now that this aligns with?

----------

Give these a try and your booking rates will thank you.

Happy calling!
